If you thought you saw a rocket ship in downtown Boston recently, you’re not hallucinating.
The ship, along with massive googly eyes on buildings, a dozen glowing humans and a giant purple octopus are all part of the third annual Winteractive exhibition. The art will be up around downtown until Mar. 29.
And PSA: Free hot cocoa will be served from “The Bison Observatory” in Winthrop Square on the last two Saturdays in February. Guided tours of the 18 installations are also available throughout February and March.

A new mural has galloped into Boston.
Since 2012, the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway Conservancy has commissioned artists to paint fresh murals in Dewey Square. This year, Lawrence-based artist Rixy and her team of artists — Ayana Mack and Sagie Vangelina — spray-painted a mural that responds to the 250th anniversary of the United States.
On June 27, Rixy will return to the mural to host an opening reception for “The Midnight Ride,” with music, art activities and food trucks.
