2020-21, Wellesley, MA
As a photographer with Wellesley College Communications & Public Affairs, I was assigned to document on-campus student life during a unique senior year of college. It was the first time that students could return to campus since the beginning of the pandemic, and the first time the college administrations across the world were experimenting and testing new COVID-19 safety policies.
Students weren't allowed leave the town of Wellesley, have roommates, or dine with anyone besides our 2-4 'blockmates.' The events and activities I was assigned to photograph were usually outdoors, and always six feet apart. We tried made the most of everything in spite of the rules. As a graduating senior, I felt nostalgic for spaces & places that used to be filled with people and activities.
